I had always wanted to get a law degree. However, life had other thoughts until I was in my late 50s. That is when I grabbed the opportunity to return to college and finally get my law degree. I knew it would be challenging since I had also chosen to be an independent long-distance student. In addition, I had chosen to study at the University of London and an independent student. This is not something for the faint of heart. But I welcomed the challenge and I hit the books, so to speak.
In this journey, I have met some wonderful people across the world. Some are students and others are lecturers. I truly enjoyed going to London twice to take the revision classes which were informative and extremely helpful. One of the most helpful lecturers has been Mr Oliver. I wish I had met him earlier in my studies because he truly is an exceptional instructor. With his help, I was able to get a 75 in Jurisprudence.
My journey is not over yet. I have two more classes to complete and then I graduate. I have grown both intellectually and as a person during this journey.
